Conference venue
The conference venue is located at the Faculty of Mathematics, Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 1090 Vienna, Austria. Its central location places it within walking distance to the historical centre of Vienna. The conference talks will be given at lecture room 4, a modern lecture hall with seating for 195 people + 4 wheelchair spaces.
The catering during the coffee breaks as well as the poster presentations are organised at the 12th floor of the same building, at the Sky Lounge, with a beautiful panorama view over the city. Weather permitting, the roof terrace is available during the coffee breaks to enjoy the view and for exciting discussions with colleagues.
Conference dinner
The conference dinner takes place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 7pm at the "Wiener Rathauskeller", an exquisite dinner location in the cellar of the historic Vienna City Hall, only a 15 minute walk from the conference venue.
Throughout the year, various events are organised in the park in front of the Vienna City Hall. During the time of the conference, the "Viennese Ice Dream" transforms this area into one of Europe's biggest ice skating rinks with the City Hall as an impressive backdrop.
Attending the conference dinner is free of charge for registered participants. During the registration process, it is possible to book a ticket for an accompanying person for 100 EUR. If you would like to add a ticket for the conference dinner at any time after registration, please contact: congress@univie.ac.at (only limited tickets are available).
Tips for your trip to Vienna
Transport:
Located at the center of Europe, Vienna, is easily accessible by train (including night trains) or plane. The conference venue is very well connected to the excellent public transport system in Vienna through the subway station "Schottenring" (lines U2 and U4) and the tram lines 1 and 31.
